Seamless indoor-outdoor connections were paramount to the clients’ lifestyle, vision and expectations for entertaining family and friends in a resort-inspired setting. The dramatic interplay is elevated throughout much of the home’s 9,815 square feet, which interacts with over 1,820 square feet of covered alfresco spaces, including an expansive lanai with living and dining areas and a fully equipped kitchen, There’s also a retreat off the master suite and a 429-square-foot balcony, plus open-air spaces – a sunny patio at the study and a garden courtyard viewed from the home gym, a guestroom and the great room.

As a harmonious extension of the interior, these outdoor oases are meticulously curated, designed with innovative features and unique luxury finishes introducing eye-catching patterns and novel materials. The alfresco kitchen showcases custom cabinetry with decorative oak-texture faces crafted from 64 layers of resin-soaked craft paper with polished black edges. A custom-shaped, faux-finished stone hood adds to the sophisticated aesthetic, while the TV wall makes a statement with its book-matched slabs of blue Roma quartzite features striking gold and copper veining. Taupe tongue-and-groove warms outdoor ceilings; black louvers accent openings.

The alfresco kitchen boasts a 36-inch gas grill, undercounter refrigerator, an electric burner and blue Roma quartzite countertops. The dining table sits 10 comfortably and the living room provides a sofa and four lounge chairs poised to the TV and the custom two-level infinity-edge pool. Shimmering iridescent silk-finished mosaic glass tile in shades of blue heighten the visual impact of the pool, 360-degree raised spa, sheer descent and platforms for four water bowls, their black concrete finish creating a cohesive design narrative between indoor and outdoor spaces by echoing interior and architectural design elements. Emphasizing linear forms, the saltwater pool and water features also nod to the clean lines of the architecture.

Brushed shellstone pavers span covered areas and the pool deck, adding to continuity of design. Landscaping, lush grassy areas and built-in planters soften the hardscape. A ledgestone pathway leads from the lanai to a secluded stone-clad firepit with a precast ledge and generous seating area covered in large flagstone.
