Originally built and furnished in 2005, this penthouse underwent a dramatic transformation from Tuscan to transitional. Completely stripped to the studs and thoughtfully redesigned, it now features a sophisticated, modern aesthetic with a layout that enhances flow, functionality, and everyday comfort.
A soft neutral color palette layered with mixed metals sets a tone of understated glamour throughout the redesigned open floor plan. Heavy ornamental ceiling details, dark faux wall finishes, and intrusive columns and walls were removed to create a sense of openness and light. In place of the original travertine tile, warm medium-toned oak flooring was installed, adding natural texture and inviting warmth that flows seamlessly from room to room. The result is a sophisticated and stylish space that feels both current and timeless.
The grand salon now exudes quiet elegance and sophistication, a dramatic departure from its former design of overstuffed traditional furnishings, heavy faux-painted walls, and elaborate ceiling embellishments. The space has been completely transformed with a serene, tonal palette—anchored by plush, white-upholstered transitional seating, silken floor-to-ceiling drapery that filters natural light, and shimmering gold accents that add a layer of refined opulence.
Adjacent to the grand salon, the bar area was previously dominated by dark brown cabinetry. The designer removed the bulky cabinetry to open up the space, leaving the support column—now painted crisp white to blend seamlessly. In its place, sleek black cabinetry with a luxurious quartz countertop was installed, complemented by a gold fluted base and striking gold-and-black pendant lighting. The result is a sophisticated and elegant bar area that perfectly balances function and style.
The living room now radiates inviting comfort and modern sophistication, having shed its former look of bulky traditional furnishings and somber faux-painted walls. In its place, a curated selection of transitional pieces—tailored, elegant, and arranged to encourage conversation. A striking marble feature wall now anchors the space, showcasing a sleek electric fireplace, flanked by custom built-in shelving that adds both style and functionality. The result is a beautifully balanced room that feels airy, contemporary, and effortlessly livable.
The dining room’s formerly dated look—characterized by dark walls, Tuscan furniture, & ornate ceiling treatments—has been completely reimagined. To open up the space, the designer removed two enclosing walls: one separating the dining room from the kitchen and another that divided it from the bar and grand salon. This architectural change creates a seamless connection between the rooms, enhancing both functionality & modern living
Once dated with dark cabinetry, the kitchen has been thoughtfully transformed with sleek quartz surfaces and elegant gold hardware. Originally limited to a single small island, the space was expanded by removing the wall to the dining room, allowing for the addition of a second island. Cabinet doors now feature antiqued glass panels, lending a touch of vintage charm. Overhead, the outdated octagonal recessed ceiling was replaced with exposed beams and integrated puck lighting, bringing both warmth and contemporary character to the space.
The expansive hallway, once weighed down by dark faux finishes, ornamental columns, and dated pendant lighting, has been reimagined into a bright, airy passage inspired by the elegance of the Palace of Versailles. To open up the space, the designer removed all previous elements and introduced dramatic mirrored panels—each niche composed of laser-cut square sections. This reflective installation enhances natural light and adds a sense of grandeur, bringing a fresh, modern sophistication to the hallway.
A designer’s dream come true, this complete renovation brought a stunning transformation to every inch of the home, elevating it to an entirely new level of style and sophistication
