Interior Designer
This was a new construction private residence that we worked with the home owner’s to select every finish, furnishing, accessory, etc. Many of the art pieces were their own and we worked with them from the beginning of the project.
Great Room: this room was difficult because of its very large ceilings and large TV wall that we had to design to make the space feel welcoming and still grand. We added beautiful stained white oak ceiling beams accented with a nickel gap white T & G and custom chandelier in the middle that perfectly grounds the space. We did neutral tone on tone furniture that is both beautiful and functional for this large family. We added some visual interest to the fireplace by using some of the owner’s artwork on both sides and a “frame/art” TV in the middle.
Kitchen: this was one of our favorite spaces where we did custom refrigerator doors with a fun chevron pattern, custom hood out of the same quartzite slab as the countertops and fun black metal cabinets that displayed the owners dishes and glasses. We also added the floating oak beams and rather than doing multiple pendants that would distract from the stunning range wall, we did a single custom linear pendant that coordinates nicely with the Great Room and Family Room chandeliers
Master Bedroom: This bedroom had many beautiful windows but the owners wanted black out and sheet window treatments in this space , so we were able to achieve function and layered softness with these treatments and the fabric selections. To add some warmth to the tone on tone palette, we added a beautiful white oak ceiling with a LED light cove.
Master Bath: We really wanted this to be an extension of the Master Bedroom and one of the best features is the indoor outdoor shower space that lets lots of light into the space.
In general, we really wanted all of the spaces to flow together and really have casual yet sophisticated and curated feel. The details, textures, material selections in this home are really what made it special and standout.
