This kitchen is a true transformation from the original floor plan. We opened up an alcove kitchen to seamlessly connect with the main living area, achieving the highly sought-after open floor plan concept. Working around a structural column, we cleverly clad it in mirrors and incorporated a hanging shelf detail that defines the kitchen’s perimeter while enhancing light and space. The design features sleek modern elements, complemented by a sophisticated mix of light-stained rift white oak and painted cabinetry. Moving away from traditional white, we selected a warm light grey, Benjamin Moore’s Silver Satin, for the painted cabinets, adding warmth and depth. Textured polished nickel hardware on the upper cabinets flanking the stove introduces subtle bling and custom detail. A polished stainless steel hood takes center stage as the kitchen’s focal point, beautifully contrasted by stained rift oak cabinetry and quartz countertops featuring 2.5″ mitered edges and elegant waterfall legs. A modernized farmhouse sink, crafted from slab countertops with a sleek apron front, adds a unique, contemporary touch. Above, a hidden LED tape light ledge with color-changing capabilities sets the perfect mood for any occasion. A whimsical yet glamorous modern pendant light over the island adds personality and softness to the kitchen’s otherwise clean, linear design.
