This penthouse showcases a striking contrast between walnut wood and neutral textures. Upon entering the home, you are welcomed by an open living space with impressive 10-foot ceilings. The grand salon features a large sectional sofa that provides ample seating, complemented by custom swivel chairs from Hickory Chair. These chairs highlight a dual fabric combination, with an ombre stripe on the back.
The interplay of textures and contrasts contributes to the neutral palette throughout the space. The coffee tables enhance this diverse texture with their reeded wood sides and stone tops. The entertainment wall serves as the anchor and focal point of the main living area, creating a sharp contrast with its white-painted MDF and stained walnut accents, all accented by LED lighting and a mirror that adds a touch of glamour.
One of our favorite elements in this property is the large mirror positioned next to the water view. As you navigate through the home, this mirror reflects the stunning views from various vantage points. Instead of a traditional dining area, our client chose a lounge seating arrangement with four chairs. The textured swivel chairs are one of our favorite fabrics in the home. We designed the coffee table at a height suitable for both dining and playing cards, ensuring a dual function for the space.
The feature wall in this lounge comprises stained walnut wood columns flanked by polished nickel sconces, paired with a modern wall covering and a metal wall sculpture for additional texture and depth. The master suite is iconic, featuring a full-height upholstered headboard that creates a dramatic entrance. Adjacent to the headboard are gorgeous mirrors by John Richards that add dimension and visual interest to the room.
Through the use of wall coverings, we’ve managed to create a variety of eye-catching accents, particularly in the master bath and the guest bathroom, which also serves as a powder room. The lanai extends the living space beautifully, fostering an indoor-outdoor flow. We maximized seating to create an outdoor family room and dining area. To define the lanai as a true living space, we added a fireplace feature wall accompanied by faux wood walls and sconces for a cozy ambiance.
One of the guest bedrooms features two queen beds adorned with layers of organic textures and fabrics. The headboards boast a three-dimensional fabric that is both modern and inviting. The king guest suite continues the theme of neutral layers seen throughout the home. In contrast, the third guest bedroom has been converted into a den, serving as a cozy TV room or an additional sleeping space with a pull-out sofa for extra guests.
