Designed as a true extension of the residence, Terra Forma celebrates the art of shaping natural materials into a luxurious outdoor living experience. Drawing inspiration from earth, stone, water and foliage, the design transforms a traditional covered lanai into a sophisticated retreat where architecture, landscape and lifestyle merge seamlessly. More than an outdoor room, the space functions as a destination for entertaining, dining, relaxing and connecting with nature while maintaining the comfort and refinement of the home’s interior.
At the heart of the design, a generous conversational seating area anchors the gathering space beneath a richly detailed tongue-and-groove cedar ceiling. Layered furnishings in shades of emerald, teal and soft aqua create a vibrant yet sophisticated palette inspired by the landscape beyond.
A custom outdoor kitchen and bar serve as both a functional workspace and a dramatic focal point. The feature wall is clad in Aura Agate Glass Tile, a luxurious surface inspired by polished agate stone. Known for its luminous depth, fluid movement and gemstone-like translucency, the tile introduces layers of jade, ivory, charcoal and sea-glass hues that shift throughout the day as natural light changes.
The custom bar island further elevates the space. Its face is clad in a carefully curated composition of 3″ x 9″ handcrafted subway tiles in two complementary glossy green tones, individually installed to create an organic pattern reminiscent of flowing water and natural stone formations. Topping the bar height island is J’adore Translucent Quartzite, a rare natural stone celebrated for its crystalline structure and dramatic veining perfect
Adjacent to the entertaining area, a dedicated dining pavilion encourages lingering gatherings with family and friends. Natural teak furnishings, woven textures and sculptural beaded pendants introduce warmth and handcrafted character. Within an existing architectural niche, the design team created a striking focal point clad in Tropez Foliage Oro porcelain tile, featuring oversized tropical foliage rendered in layered earth tones, soft greens, bronze and warm metallic accents. What was once a simple recess has been reimagined into an artistic destination that anchors the dining area and strengthens the connection between architecture and nature.
The surrounding courtyard extends the experience with oversized stone pavers, river rock joints, lush landscaping and a tranquil living-wall fountain. Together, these elements blur the boundaries between indoors and outdoors while creating a cohesive environment that functions beautifully for everyday living and entertaining.
Through exceptional craftsmanship, innovative material selections and thoughtful integration of architecture and landscape, Terra Forma delivers a resort-caliber outdoor living experience that is both highly functional and visually unforgettable. The result is a sophisticated retreat where nature, design and lifestyle exist in perfect harmony.
