This villa kitchen was reimagined as the heart of the home. A space where thoughtful design, natural materiality, and effortless entertaining come together. As part of a complete remodel, the layout was refined to create a seamless connection between the kitchen and adjacent living spaces, transforming it into a warm and inviting hub for everyday life.
A carefully balanced palette establishes the kitchen’s timeless character. Painted and glazed perimeter cabinetry is paired with a stained white oak surround, creating a sophisticated two-tone composition that adds warmth, depth, and architectural interest. The contrast between the finishes brings a sense of refinement while allowing the natural beauty of each material to take center stage.
The expansive island is topped with a dramatic natural quartzite, selected for its expressive movement and one-of-a-kind veining. Continuing the quartzite as the backsplash creates a cohesive backdrop while highlighting the stone as the focal point of the space. Together, these organic materials introduce texture and authenticity, reinforcing the home’s relaxed yet elevated aesthetic.
Designed with connection in mind, the custom cabinetry extends beyond the kitchen to form a dedicated bar that flows into the adjacent conversation area. This thoughtful integration blurs the line between culinary workspace and entertaining space, encouraging guests to gather, linger, and interact. The oversized island further enhances this experience, offering generous seating that naturally draws family and friends together.
