This showroom design serves as a fully immersive design studio for a company that provides custom closet design and home storage solutions. The space was designed with the company’s core target market in mind: homeowners, builders and businesses seeking high-quality, custom-designed organizational solutions for multiple areas of the home or commercial space. The primary project objective was to create an experiential environment that helps clients visualize the design potential of their own spaces.

One unique opportunity with the project design was the approach the space. Rather than functioning as a traditional business showroom or retail storefront with a reception area, the space is intentionally designed to make guests feel as if they’ve stepped into a home. The thoughtfully curated living space features 11 vignettes that showcase real-life applications of custom solutions across different rooms of the home.

The showroom houses a full array of hardware and finish samples that are used during design consultations. It also features a central table made from restoration hardware where designers meet with clients after an initial home visit to review designs and finalize selections. A feature wall with the company’s nationally recognized logo ties the space to the larger brand identity shared across showrooms nationwide.

Notably, the showroom includes only two closet displays – a purposeful decision that reflects the company’s whole-home solutions. Beyond closets, the displays illustrate possibilities for laundry rooms, pantries, garages, media centers, wall beds and home offices.

The purposefully designed space features a range of designs and stylistic preferences, helping bring abstract ideas to life so that they can visualize their own projects with confidence. The immersive layout helps sell the product by experience, taking the design from a 2D rendering to real-world application. Clients can see, feel and envision how these custom storage solutions can elevate their own homes, making it a space that empowers both designers and clients to dream big.
