This pool was designed around a striking architectural gesture: a raised, mosaic-tiled spa that floats at the pool’s edge, its bold blue tile catching light from every angle and serving as the visual anchor for the entire backyard.
From the spa, the pool extends in a clean, angular L-shape that wraps the rear of the home, opening up a sun shelf furnished with floating, sculptural loungers positioned just beneath the water’s surface. Subtle integrated jets bubble up around the loungers, turning a simple sun shelf into an interactive feature rather than just a shallow ledge.
A narrow band of turf and a glass tile accent strip run along one edge of the pool, softening the hardscape and tying the water back into the surrounding landscape, while a dense privacy hedge wraps the rear boundary, keeping the entire space secluded.
The layout was clearly built to maximize every inch of usable pool and deck space on the lot, with the spa, sun shelf, and main swimming area each given their own distinct identity within a single, continuous design. The result is a pool that reads as a cohesive architectural statement, equally striking by day and at dusk, when the tile work and lighting take center stage.
