Bonura Custom Homes – Pine Ridge

The pool at 174 Carica Road was designed around one simple objective: to create a place where a family of seven could spend time together while enjoying the comfort and amenities of a private luxury resort. Rather than serving as a backyard feature, the pool became the centerpiece of the home’s outdoor lifestyle, connecting recreation, entertaining, and relaxation into one thoughtfully planned space.
Measuring 60 feet by 40 feet, the heated and cooled saltwater pool was engineered for year-round enjoyment. Unlike many residential pools in Southwest Florida that become uncomfortably warm during the summer months, the integrated heating and cooling system maintains an ideal swimming temperature throughout the year, allowing the family to enjoy the pool in every season.
The design balances beauty with functionality. A swim-up bar and walk-up bar encourage family interaction and entertaining, while the infinity-edge spa, sun shelf, and generous swimming areas provide spaces for every age to enjoy. Fire and water elements work together to create visual interest without overwhelming the architecture, allowing the pool to remain the natural focal point of the outdoor living environment.
Technology also plays an important role. Pentair IntelliVibe lighting synchronized with music transforms the pool after sunset, creating a completely different atmosphere for evening entertaining. Advanced automation simplifies operation while supporting long-term efficiency and ease of maintenance.
Perhaps the greatest success of the design is how naturally it fits into the overall floor plan. The pool is visible from the home’s primary living spaces and creates a visual connection between the main residence, guest house, and outdoor gathering areas. It becomes the space where family and friends naturally come together.
This project demonstrates that exceptional pool design is about more than impressive features. It is about creating a space that families will use every day. By combining thoughtful planning, innovative engineering, year-round comfort, and timeless design, this pool delivers an experience that is both beautiful and highly functional. Ultimately, true luxury is creating spaces that bring people together while providing complete peace of mind.
