An architectural sanctuary of glass, light, and luxurious textures, this primary suite feels like a fortress of solitude thanks to being in a separate wing of the home. With warm, large format Italian porcelain under foot and rich mahogany on the 12-foot ceilings (the mahogany went through a 6-step bleaching process before it could be stained the exact color requested by the client), the suite features a wall of floor-to-ceiling glass, offering stunning views of the home’s expansive pool area. The suite also includes a bespoke custom-paneled media wall, a matching custom floating bed, and an adjacent private sitting room/library overlooking the manicured outdoor living area. Further embracing the minimalistic approach, the walls feature reglet trim detailing (all floors had to be floated perfectly before we could start the walls), flush outlets, Dorr Houzzer doors with mortise hinges, while the ceiling features integrated A/C venting as well as low-voltage Colorbeam lighting. The massive his-and-hers closets include stunning floor-to-ceiling custom cabinetry with a mixture of flat panel and glass-front storage options. Perhaps even more impressive is the en suite with floating his-and-hers vanities, a fully-integrated steam shower, and a stand-alone tub perfectly positioned to enjoy views of the property’s rain garden. The suite also includes a bamboo-floored home gym with chilled bottle filler as well as a 6-person sauna. Overall, this primary suite transitions seamlessly between indoor serenity and views of the outdoor escape. If this is the future, we’re glad it’s here.
