INTERIOR DESIGNSingle Family Homes

This private residence was a home that a client of ours (this is their 3rd home in Florida we have done for them) bought at a great price and wanted us to make it less color and less modern. They have a large family, so they wanted the house to looked curated/updated/comfortable and livable/functional for their family. This was a home built in the early 2000’s that had a great layout and just needed some updating. Things we did to help them achieve this:
– New Wide Plank White Oak Floors
– Added Millwork Features to Add Warmth/Customization and Uniqueness to the Space
– Foyer: Added a beautiful textured and subtle patterned wallcovering with fun artwork – leather pieces placed organically in acrylic floating frames, thin console to fit the space and not make the already small foyer smaller accented with 2 fun ottomans underneath for a nice curated layered look and a beautiful modern alabaster fixture and stained white oak with was added to the ceiling
– Great Room: Added beautiful white oak millwork to help center the space with the doors leading the Owner’s Bedroom – accented with a custom floating white oak cabinet and custom white oak shelves with LED tape lighting, added beautiful white oak beams and tamobour freize board to really warm up the space, creamy leather recliners and contrasting patterned swivel chairs bring in all of the colors or the area rug and are anchored by (2) fossilized clamshell tables – the space was large and we needed a big table for the grandkids to play on – it was hard to find a table large enough so we did two together and the material is indestructible for the kids
– Office: We color drenched the room in a beautiful blue/green color taht we match perfectly to the fun geometric patterned and textured wallcovering in the ceiling coffers
– Kids Rooms: We used fun colors and patterns that still fit the aesthetic of the rest of the home but brought a whimsical flare to each space
In general in all of the areas we added alot of layers of white oak, textures in wallcoverings and window treatments, etc. We also brought in pops of color without it being too much and still fun for the grandkids and the rest of the family. The family is from Canada and this is their winter home so we added touches of the Naples, Florida charm to make this feel like a Florida home without over doing it.
