Calusa Bay Design – The Villa Edit

The outdoor living is an exceptional part of this completely renovated villa. Just off of the bar and conversation area you walk into the covered outdoor living area complete with retractable screens. This area was once fully enclosed, and did not offer a quick escape to the uncovered outdoor living space, as it now does. The covered outdoor living area is complete with fully upholstered furniture making it a supremely comfortable and inviting space. The soft blues and neutrals are a perfect contrast against the lush landscape beyond. The seating grouping combines natural textures, as well as bright and airy colors to create a sophisticated, yet livable space.
The TV wall that was created during the renovation has been outfitted with carefully selected oversized porcelain tiles that have a sandy color tone that is easy on the eyes directly off the interior bar/conversation area. It’s also a perfect complement to the shell stone deck. The vaulted ceiling is accented with cypress tongue and groove, and further embellished with small rafter beams. The wood tone on this ceiling is a medium tone stain that was derived from finishes seen through the interior of the villa for a perfectly cohesive look.
Off of the covered outdoor living area one can find the pool deck, newly added pool, and a serene lake view. The original villa did not include a pool, nor an open view to the lake. These were additions that were made with full intention during this renovation to create an outdoor oasis unlike any other in this development. The shell stone pool deck keeps the outdoor living space light and bright, and a stunning contrast against the darker pool. Dark blue waterline tiles were selected in tandem with a moody pebble finish to create a refreshingly deep blue pool color sure to draw in any homeowner, and visitor alike.
