Casa Solana is a refined expression of the California kitchen—celebrating timeless elegance, natural materials, and thoughtful craftsmanship. This design artfully blends organic textures and warm tones with luxurious detailing, creating a space that feels both welcoming and enduring.
Tailored for sophisticated California homeowners, Casa Solana features a calming, natural palette elevated by exquisite materials and refined design. It was conceived for an avid cook and entertainer who values well-considered layouts, premium finishes, and high-performance appliances that support both everyday life and large-scale gatherings.
Incorporating multiple dedicated zones—including a prep island, storage island, and bar island with seating—within an open-concept layout required thoughtful spatial planning to maintain flow and avoid visual clutter. A 4-foot galley prep sink was seamlessly integrated into the main island, providing an efficient workspace that also serves as casual seating. To subtly define the transition between kitchen and bar, the bar and storage islands form a galley-like corridor flanked by ceiling-mounted metal and glass liquor shelves. These elements introduce visual rhythm while maintaining a light and open feel. Consistent materials and matching countertop edge heights throughout the space ensure visual continuity.
The kitchen was designed as a true culinary hub with clearly defined zones for preparation, cooking, storage, and entertaining. A neutral foundation of Calacatta Gold marble and reeded white oak brings warmth, texture, and timeless appeal. Discreet elements—including a concealed appliance garage and hidden pantry door—are integrated into the cabinetry to preserve the kitchen’s clean, elegant aesthetic.
Signature details—like the centrally placed galley prep sink—enhance both workflow and sociability. The repeated use of Calacatta Gold marble, with 2-inch mitered edges, waterfall ends, and a full-height backsplash, paired with champagne brass fixtures and hardware, reinforces the kitchen’s refined material language.
