This organically modern Primary Suite is curated with different finishes, textures and unique elements. We used several different types of materials to give that curated/custom feel including the following:
• Plain sewn white oak T&G vaulted ceiling with “V” Groove and simple matte natural waxed finish to show off the wood natural graining and beauty and relates to the 10” white oak select grade wood floors
• Natural woven Holly Hunt wallcovering on the walls to bring movement, texture and color to create a modern yet comfortable space
• Mixture of Textiles including a wool/silk rug with lots of dimension/softness, different layers of textiles on the bed with colors that tie in the rug, wallcovering, drapery and natural oak accents
• Subtle blown glass chandelier custom made by Hubbardton Forge in a soft brass finish fits with the ceiling detail flawlessly and the way its suspended makes it look like its floating. The glass adds a sense of luxury to the space while not being to overboard and detracting from all of the other beautiful pieces in the space.
• Marble floors and countertops take this bathroom to the next level of luxury with soft veining and the gray/blue accents that carry in from the bedroom
• Scalloped tub and vessel sinks, really added a level of customization/dimension and the soft curves broke up all of the linear lines in the space
• Custom bathroom cabinetry in a rifcut white oak and natural matte finish bring a subtle organic softness to the space and accents of black plumbing and hardware give it a modern flare
• Bathroom walls have a Phillip Jefferies faux silk wallcovering that is both practical in a bathroom but has the beauty of a real silk and adds sophistication and dimension to the walls
With a room that has a lot of windows to enjoy the beautiful outdoor space/pool we got creative and did hidden motorized shades – at the sliders they are hidden in black metal boxes that seamlessly blend with the slider and at the windows we hid them behind a beautiful faux roman valance that we did in a fun patterned fabric to bring some interest and texture. We love the nightstands/bed and how they are fun play on modern and organic with the creamy boucle headboard fabric and riftcut white oak frame. We especially love the subtle vertical wood strips on the headboard. The nightstands pair well with the bed an bring some fun texture and pattern with the reeded white oak design. We did two comfortable club chairs in the corner that beautifully relate to the other organic elements in the space. We typically have them facing out the sliders but for the picture turned them facing the room. The backs of the chairs when you see them walking into the room are stunning. At night the room is accented with hidden LED cove lighting that is integrated into the white oak beam at the bottom of the ceiling tray.
