The homeowner of this residence wanted a design style that featured a transitional aesthetic, but with a contemporary spin. The designers were Inspired by the surrounding environment, as well as the clients lifestyle. While the beautiful bridge is integral to the spectacular view, it was important to the designers to create a cohesive design that complimented the stunning backdrop. Tremron pavers in a clay & charcoal blend coordinate with the tones of the bridge and provide a Tuscan vibe with an updated contemporary feel. Surrounding the Lanai is a modern glass & brushed stainless railing, which the designer encouraged the homeowner to do. It can also be appreciated from inside the home and makes a statement, while setting it apart from the other residences. The covered lanai area boasts floating beams, stained in a dark bronze finish. Castelle Lounge Chairs, in a bronze finish are arranged around a cocktail table from the same collection, with accessories in the same azure blue as the lounge chair accent pillows. The adjacent Outdoor Kitchen features a leathered marble countertop, which was also used on the indoor Kitchen Island. Glass Decorative tile by Lunata Bay adorns the backsplash, adding a splash of color. A water feature is the focal point of the outdoor living area and anchors the south end of the pool. Lunata Bay tile clads the facia of the water feature, which is dramatically backlit in the evening. The designers challenge in crafting this pool design was to situate the pool in such a way that it would be a focal point, while also allowing space for a dining area, a firepit, a lounge area, as well as a high-top bar table. Interest was created by placing a firepit at the most optimal location of the outdoor space to enjoy the water view, and sunsets. The homeowners son enjoys walking across the pools steppingstones to sit in the Adirondack chairs with his friends. There is also privacy from the adjacent neighbors. The south side of the villa has a large outdoor space that was conceived as an inclusive destination area. The Designers wanted to do away with strictly delineated areas to use the whole space as a place to entertain and relax. A Dining Table by Castelle from the Moderna collection features a live edge with ample seating for 6-8. If preferred, guests can opt to sit at the Bar Table which provides an enchanting view of the canal, bridge, and Lanai. There were so many things to take into consideration for this project, and what was most rewarding for the designers was that the finished result exceeded the clients expectations.
