This homesite was initially purchased by a luxury homebuilding and remodeling company who intended to build a universally appealing residence; however, a buyer quickly emerged who wanted to personalize the home to their individual preferences. The client wanted new construction in an established community with very few empty homesites. She couldn’t find an existing residence that met her wishes, so she decided to build one herself, in collaboration with the homebuilder. This project presented an opportunity for the design team to work within the homesite to maximize lake views but also to create an architecturally unique, visually appealing estate. The pie-shaped homesite’s wide rear lake view created siting challenges, since the buyer wanted a large house. The builder was charged with redesigning the home to maximize both the homesite and its great rear views. The builder and client agreed to design the home toward the front of the homesite, creating curb appeal while capturing all views, from the rear to the lake. More than half of the home’s spaces offer serene lake views, including the master suite, family room, kitchen and two guest suites. The custom residence is built to the highest quality standards with transitional interior and exterior architectural details and state-of-the-art custom finishes, creating a perfect mix of personalized style. Among the intricate millwork and ceiling details, unique details include a spacious kitchen with large island, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. Highlights include an elegant master suite, three guest en-suites, study and pool bath with 4,298 square feet of interior space, plus a resort-style outdoor living area with pool, spa and sunken fire pit, as well as an outdoor kitchen, dining area and fireplace.
