Tie with W Design – On the Bay
Our clients were looking for a design with clean lines and a neutral color palette. Architecturally we created interest with contrasting materials and textural layers. For instance our custom kitchen is sleek white cabinets flanked by stained walnut storage for a sharp contrast, paired with Perla Venata quartzite countertops and backsplash for an organic textural layer. Our living room entertainment center is a wire brushed rift white oak with lots of grain and texture, complimented by the porcelain Calcutta slab fireplace. As a lot of remodels go we had to get creative to incorporate as much storage as possible in the design. The way the living room cabinetry wraps around the corner allows a significant amount of added storage, while also creating a wow factor in the detailing. One of our struggles with the original layout is how this particular floor plan didn’t have a designated entry vestibule. So we created an open wood slat wrap around the front door to help define the entry with visual interest. The master bath has a unique cabinetry design with a 3 dimensional applied molding and textured hardware. The chevron flooring in the master bath sets the tone for a great design. We used porcelain countertops in this bath for durability but to get a timeless look of statuary marble.
