The owners of this home had just closed on it, when they called the designer. With two teenage daughters, they wanted there master suite to be their private sanctuary. The tonal color palette is inviting, with a relaxing pop of blue on the headboard wall, also found in the hand knotted rug, and chic accents of lucite touches throughout. The Master Suite showcases a stunning headboard wall painted in Sherwin Williams Slate Tile with contrasting wallcovering insets in a shimmery off-white. The area rug adds dimension and interest with neutral taupe tones and accents of blue, complementing the room. The bed treatment is elegant, yet simple. Flanking the bed, are nightstands which feature chrome & Lucite bar hardware. The Bernhardt bench at the end of the bed features similar materials featuring lucite legs with polished silver accents. The homeowners did not want a dresser, but a set of plush lounge chairs anchoring the room offering a perfect spot to unwind and read a good book. The designers created a comfortable seating area, taking full advantage of the space. The custom closets provide ample space and hanging storage for clothing. Luminous window treatments frame the windows while blackout battery powered shades provide privacy. A stunning chrome and glass rod chandelier decorated the ceiling, adding visual interest to the space – the jewelry of the room. The master suite is eloquently decorated with well-appointed art and accessories. The original Master Bath was demolished, to create a spa-like master-bath featuring an oversized soaking tub & shower. The oversized soaking tub is set in front of an illuminated floating wall. The floor tile seamlessly floats up the tub and shower walls, with a inset deco tile behind the free-standing tub adds visual interest to the space. Floating vanities flanking both sides of the bathroom in a dark greige finish offers a sophisticated contrast. A crystal chandelier, suspended from the ceiling, with chrome accents, elevates the atmosphere of the master en-suite.
