This contemporary home reflects the best of Florida’s natural elements, with a sophisticated black and white color palette mixed with cypress wood ceiling accents. One of the home’s highlights is an impressive custom kitchen inspired by the effortlessly chic design trends of Southern California.
Though connected to the great room’s formal dining area, the kitchen is separated by an elegant floor-to-ceiling metal and glass wall. European white oak flooring connects the two spaces and contrasts beautifully against the kitchen’s island and cabinetry, which are painted in Knight’s Armor, a rich black with strong gray undertones that soften the darkness. For the backsplash, gray, white, and charcoal honed marble from Marble Works come together beautifully in a contemporary basket weave pattern that complements the kitchen’s overall aesthetic.
Instead of a traditional kitchen table, the designers extended the kitchen’s island at a lower elevation to create a spacious table with a laidback feel. Keeping it connected to the island ensured there would be enough space between the table and the adjacent sliding glass doors leading to the outdoor kitchen. The kitchen island and surrounding countertops are white quartz from Silestone. Gold accents and floor-to-ceiling drapes, along with pops of greenery, add to the overall elegance and add a textural softness to the otherwise black and white palette.
Around the corner, the designers even included an uber-chic, complementary ancillary kitchen. As a whole, the entire space is a truly one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
