The overall aesthetic of this space is Transitional-Timeless elegance. Creating balance is key to achieving this style. By combining different materials, a classic aesthetic is strengthened by combining contemporary accents and finishes that are sophisticated and livable. Thoughtful design, being the trademark of this home, starts in the entry of the kitchen. Cerused oak wood clads the entry wall- complementing the Great Room wood Beams. Note the tray ceiling detail of classic tongue and groove with three cerused wood beams running vertically adding interest to the space. French white oak wide-plank flooring throughout in Coastline Oak & Calacatta Classique White Quartz Countertops make this home feel timeless, while the juxtaposition of the custom fabricated metal hood in black finish flanked by floating shelves, accented with large nickel studs and cerused wood beams adds interest & drama to the space. Perimeter cabinets by Omega are finished in beach house white, and the island counters add a contrast in a Meteor light grey finish. The clean lines and neutral color palette allow for the statement accents & furnishings to take center stage. The Kitchen backsplash boasts a decorative Calcutta marble in herringbone pattern mosaic. Floating shelves with metal rivets are illuminated by LED underlighting. The shelves add functionality for the chef of the home, as well as a unique aesthetic! Perfect for entertaining, the 11′ Island Calcutta Classique white quartz countertops (by Silestone) and perimeter counters, compliment the white Omega cabinets. Glass front uppers are decorated with natural coral to add a coastal touch while coordinating with the five Palecek counter stools in a natural rattan in grey finish. The oversized kitchen pendant lights by Thomas O’Brien are dramatic & sculptural A challenge for the Kitchen design was to find a way to provide more cabinet storage, and to make the kitchen appear visually larger. By designing the wall of glass door front cabinets, the solution was achieved!
