As you step into into Birchwood III, you are greeted by a beautiful white stone inlay that is married with a rich taupe European white oak wooden floor. The white oak is carried throughout the main areas of the home, merged with a sleek glossy Bianco tile in the secondary spaces such as in the bathrooms and utility rooms. Color and texture selections were key to creating a rich and welcoming ambiance. The use of neutrals represents the architectural elements in the historic Renaissance structures throughout Europe, while the deep marine blue accents represent the deep-water tones of the Mediterranean Sea. Contrast was achieved through soft tones throughout the home combined with a hint of drama through the use of black lighting fixtures and pops of furniture accents.
A principal key to creating a Modern feel to the overall design was to design an open concept, perfect for entertaining and everyday living. The design was carried out to the exterior of the home, keeping cohesiveness between indoor and outdoor living. Overall, the vision of Birchwood III was to create a synergy between Mediterranean and Modern, such as that of a vivid realism and visionary transcendence.
