This community consists of larger estate homes constructed in the 1990s, originally designed with closed-off areas. However, these homes are now being updated to fit a modern, open living style that caters to residents who enjoy entertaining large groups. Fortunately, these homes were built to allow such remodels without requiring major structural changes.
Remodel Highlights:
Demolition and Preparation:
Removed non-bearing walls, cabinetry, and other finishes.
Cut the floor to install plumbing and electrical connections for the new kitchen island.
Modified the ceiling soffit to align with the island’s new placement.
Custom Cabinetry and Lighting:
Installed custom-made cabinetry
Added LED in-cabinet and under-cabinet lighting for accent and functionality.
Used quartz for countertops and backsplashes
Fireplace and Dining Room Enhancements:
Created a striking fireplace finish with quartz slabs and lighted bookcases on either side.
Added square trim and paint accents in the dining room to break up the large wall.
Additional Features:
Built a butler’s pantry and a new wine center.
Installed a large kitchen island with new cabinetry, countertops, and appliances.
Installed prefinished Cypress on the ceiling of the lanai
Outstanding Feature:
The standout element is the fireplace/TV wall, featuring an electric fireplace and a recessed TV. The wall is adorned with lighted bookshelves on either side, and the quartz stone slabs add vibrant color and elegance.
This remodel effectively modernizes the home, making it more suitable for open living and entertaining while enhancing both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
