Designed for affluent clientele who appreciate the accoutrements of a proper chef, this stunning kitchen is a study in luxury, light and linear, the latter emphasized in the clean-lined slat front of the weathered ash island and the hood above the Wolf gas stove. Representing the builder’s standard features, its full suite of Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances earned a spot among Florida’s top finalists in the brands’ 2022-23 Kitchen Design Contest.
The kitchen also wows with a wine bar featuring floating brass-finished hanging shelves suspended in front of a large window and a separate wine display, its glass doors showcasing a porcelain tile floor, textured stone tile wall behind racking and recessed lighting for dramatic effect. The kitchen’s reverse soffit ceiling with LED cove lighting offers a creative architectural alternative to the typical tray and mimics accent lighting on the slat media wall in the adjoining family room.
The design’s emphasis on livable modern interiors, clean lines, timeless details, natural finishes and a Zen-like quality carry through to the kitchen. Weathered ash and black matte finishes in cabinetry, lighting, the kitchen sink and faucet contrast sleek white oak perimeter cabinets with flat-paneled doors and pale European white oak flooring and are paired with white quartzite countertops with gray veining. Antique brass accents in lighting, hardware and bar stools add a modern interpretation of classic black and gold. Accessories are minimal.
The kitchen offers two dishwashers, a 48-inch range, paneled 30-inch refrigerator and separate freezer and a wall oven with a Wolf microwave drawer in the island. The generously sized island boasts stylish contemporary seating for four and a quartzite waterfall countertop.
Emphasizing natural light, the floor plan places two windows on each side of the stove flanked by floating wood shelves with LED lighting. A combination pantry and utility room accommodates a second refrigerator and enhances convenience.
