Rhett Alexander – Acacia Model Home

The interiors for the Acacia model were inspired by a California Modern aesthetic. As design trends move away from grey undertones, the designer chose a definitively warm scheme with furniture finished in a combination of brown wood and creamy white paint finishes accented with brown, black, and gold metal finishes. The high gloss ceramic floors help reflect light and keep the overall feel light, even in rooms painted in darker hues. The Primary bedroom reflects the design intent well with a combination of warm tones and finishes accented against the dramatic grass cloth wall covering. The Primary bath offers a serene sanctuary with an elevated selection of gold accented tiles, gold plumbing, mirrors and light fixtures finished with a pair of linen drapes at the free-standing tub. Additional rooms were themed as guest bedrooms, a masculine tv escape and a feminine office with a table for gathering with friends. The designer strove to keep things interesting with a strong contrast story through the varying combinations of textures and colors, shapes and finishes throughout the home.
