“Popeyes”, named after Popeye Doyle of The French Connection, began in New Orleans fifty years ago. “What began with one small restaurant and one big idea turned into a craze that swept the nation – and the world.” https://www.popeyes.com/our-story

• This project included the complete interior demolition of a former bank and reconfiguring it into a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen privately owned franchise.
• Although there are several Popeyes restaurants in Collier and Lee County, this location’s floorplan and design is the first of its kind nationwide. It was built to support 95 patrons at one time, both in the interior and exterior patio area.
• The cheery, bright colors welcome guests into the restaurant, where neon art and fun murals are displayed along the walls.
• This unique design includes metal wall accents, partitions, and trim, bringing a modern feel to the interior space.
• Unlike your typical fast-food environment, high-end finishes were used to elevate the dining area. From multicolor stained wood panel tables to faux leather finishes on the seating areas to architectural ceiling details, including molded ceiling tiles and wood ceiling panels.
• A total of 28 exterior industrial RLM lights were installed around the perimeter of the building. Coupled with 22 can lights and the illuminated storefront and ground signage, this building brings an elevated feel to the modern fast-food dining experience.
• Nine (9) oversized wood shutters were added along the exterior, bringing warmth to what was once a plain commercial building.
• 49 handcrafted wooden corbels can be found along the eaves of the exterior, adding a nice traditional feel to the modern and trendy interior.
• A state-of-the-art commercial-grade kitchen includes an Ultragold 20 gas fryer, one of the most powerful fryers on the market, an AyrKing Tumble Marinator, a Coolscapes Reach-In Freezer, and multiple Blodgett Half-Size Electric Convection Ovens.
• Part of this first-of-its-kind Popeyes includes a proprietary seating configuration by Seating Concepts in Rockdale, Illinois. This unique layout consists of a maximation of space to allow not only the flow of patrons but also consideration of the views outside the windows.
• Also included is an oversized community table – a trend picking up in public dining spaces.
