LMG Design Consulting – Obsidian Odyssey

This project began with the removal of an existing house, marking the first teardown in this community for a coveted water lot on a serene cul-de-sac. Paving the way for the creation of a custom home, our team embarked on a journey to design a sanctuary that perfectly suited the needs and preferences of the family.
From initial ideation to final execution, our design team meticulously crafted every detail of this family sanctuary, ensuring it reflected the unique personalities of each family member. Customized ceiling details, including a quadruple groin vault with integrated lighting detail in the grand living space, set a striking tone throughout the home. These architectural elements not only add visual interest but also contribute to the grandeur of the space.
Trim applications, flooring insets, and bespoke lighting installations inject dramatic flair, enhancing the luxury-meets-liveable aesthetic that defines the home. Drawing inspiration from the diverse backgrounds of the family, we carefully curated a color palette for each serene suite and selected textural elements that resonate with all the home’s dwellers, creating a space that feels truly personalized.
The shared living spaces of the home exude subtle art deco charm, characterized by a sophisticated palette of black and white. In the great room, a ceramic stone-look tile fireplace surround and dramatic black tambour-accented built-ins create a focal point for elegant gatherings. The custom tambour details are carried into the kitchen, adding depth and visual interest, while LED-integrated ceiling details provide a consistent cohesion to the spaces, illuminating each meticulously curated element.
The cocktail bar exudes a dark, dramatic glamour with its mirrored tile backsplash and custom metal inset millwork surround that opens to the exterior living space. Meanwhile, the facades of the home are adorned with large format tiles, adding a unique visual interest and touch of modern sophistication to the exterior design hinting to the elegance that lies beyond.
Together, these features contribute to the residence’s unique personality and allure, creating an ambiance that is both captivating and refined, embodying the perfect blend of luxury and livability.
