KDL Interior Design – Sullivan

The design goal was to modernize and completely transform the space within the existing footprint. By utilizing unique and creative design solutions, we were able to improve the flow and volume while creating ethereal beauty and chic comfort throughout the kitchen. Strategies centered around elevating the sense of height and open space by using light reflective surfaces, and textures, while maintaining balance throughout the kitchen. 
 
Clients desired an ethereal feel with as much open space as possible. This was achieved by: 
– Strategies centered around elevating the sense of height and open space by using light reflective surfaces, and textures, while maintaining balance throughout. 
– Glamorous luxe finishes with elegant lighting while embracing the natural light 
 
The small footprint and low ceiling height were the most challenging. This was overcome by: 
– Centering the kitchen around a beautiful stone slab curved island which incorporated a curved banquette nook area, and a sparkling fandalier to reflect light 
– White and espresso toned curvilinear cabinetry allowed a flow of movement through the entire space, maximized the space, and enhanced the gulf view 
– A mirrored range hood, and beautiful leather hardware provide fine detail that gives the kitchen a “furniture-like” quality and beauty maximizing the ambience of the small space.
