Model Home
This model home is in a new condominium development located in downtown Naples, Florida, just blocks away from 5th Avenue. Appealing to a sophisticated and active audience, the development features amazing amenities, topped off by a popular local cafe on the premise.
Knowing that a neutral color scheme would appeal to most buyers, we designed a fun and forward black and white scheme. Wanting to be sure that the bold black and white background finishes didn’t feel cold, we ran oak wood flooring in a natural blonde tone throughout the condo and brought in earthy, organic elements to keep the scheme warm and inviting.
The nearly 3,000 sq. ft. open concept floor plan has a combined living and dining room right off the kitchen. We divided a long wall of sliders by six feet of drywall which was dressed in sharp black nickel gap in a dynamic chevron pattern to create some weight. A large off-white sectional with black and white throw pillows complementing the area rug perfectly offers comfortable seating. The antique mirror cocktail table adds a touch of glam while the lounge chair makes its own statement.
A linear fixture with white globes hangs above the long black dining table surrounded by dining chairs with black frames, natural caning, and off-white seat cushions, accentuating the dining area in the open plan.
The kitchen is stunning with black shaker cabinets running along the perimeter of the kitchen. The island contrasts in white cabinetry and is topped with a gorgeous black slab of Silestone “Et Marquina” with dramatic white veining. The large-format white subway tile backsplash picks up on the white veining and breaks up the black cabinets. A fully integrated, paneled refrigerator and contemporary stainless-steel appliances lend to the sleek design.
The den is open to the dining/living room, and we wanted it to welcome people in instead of closing off the social atmosphere. Instead of the typical home office or media room, we designed a fun game room with a stylish black round game table surrounded by fully upholstered chairs with a geometric fabric that ties in beautifully with the area rug below. The room is outfitted with black frame and natural canning bookshelves that provides storage and display space for barware, games, books, and accessories. An eye-catching light fixture spreads out across six feet of the ceiling above the game table and draws people in.
We gave the master bedroom a soft and relaxing air by using white case pieces with elegant fretwork and molding. A refined black and white fabric frames the room as draperies on the slider and pops off against the white duvet as an accent pillow on the bed. The master bathroom feels fresh with classic black and white background materials. Large format white subway tiles are run in a playful chevron pattern in the shower to make the classic material feel brand new.
