J. Lynn Design Group – Modern Eclectic

Modern Eclectic is a very special project for us because the clients pushed us out of the box from the typical coastal designs. Our homeowner loves teak, red wine, mardi gras, and all things organic. We partnered with another design firm on this project to turn their Kalea bay home into something unique and customized to their aesthetic. The dining room artwork is from one of her local New Orleans artist. Paired with the leather strap chandelier, teak root table and wood feature wall this room provides amble character. The custom sectional in living room is a leather frame with square quilting on the back, while the seat and back cushions are a textural durable weave. It is the mix use of material like this that make this design unique. The kitchen backsplash is a backlit pure white Cristallo. The bar stools have a unique embossed leather on the back’s that were imported from Italy pared with a contrasting grey leather for the seats. we used several live edge pieces like the living room coffee table as well as natural stone accessories. The lanai features a teak ceiling, outdoor dining wall and fireplace detail. The custom dining table is a hand selected slab that needed to be craned into the unit. They have a large family so a large dining table was a must. From ceiling details to textured fabrics and materials this unit has something interested at every turn.
