This kitchen received an overhaul as part of a whole-home renovation transforming the residence from outdated and closed-in to spacious, clean and modern.
When re-imagining the original, heavy Tuscan style, the designer actually created a Mediterranean-modern concept to blend traditional elements with a new, open design.
The redesigned kitchen is now highlighted by a full-height slab backsplash through to the bar area for a consistent look complementing the clean, contemporary cabinetry. An appliance wall shines with white and black custom cabinetry. The island, upper glass cabinets and kitchen range hood are natural walnut. The wine room features a vintage wine rack system, varnish wood countertop and an open display for bottle storage. The bar includes a thick waterfall countertop with sleek, black custom cabinetry and custom wooden wall paneling.
Original French doors located off the main area were replaced with sliding glass doors opening to the outdoor kitchen. Plumbing and lighting were updated from traditional polished brass fixtures to black and chrome fixtures. The home’s original Travertine flooring was replaced with warm Legno Bastone wide plank.
Today, this new kitchen definitely packs a punch with its contrasting color palette, custom cabinetry, high-end finishes, top-notch appliances and plenty of style.
