DEC Contracting Group, Inc. – Ave Maria Locker Rooms Phase 1

The Men’s Locker Rooms consist of a Military Style Pre-engineered Metal building referred to as a Quonset Hut. This Building now houses the university’s outdoor Men’s sporting events locker rooms, showers and bathrooms. This building was a special building as the architecture of it is unique as it is a round dome structure. The contractor tied into the university’s existing chilled water HVAC system. This was ground up construction so all associated sitework and grading, finishes, painting, flooring and building erection was included. The university opted to paint the building camouflage as the donor for this project had military ties and wanted the Quonset hut type building to begin with, to further thank the donor university chose to pay the contractor to hand paint the building the Camo that you now see today. This building is extremely beneficial to the university as the outdoor sports teams did not have their own locker rooms, this is the first phase of a phased plan to provide men and women’s outdoor sports their own locker rooms. Contractorcan all but guarantee there is not another building that is flashy and unique as this one.
