Over $1,000,000*

The present homeowners purchased this house from their aging parents. They contacted the builder to create an open floor plan in the main living area as well as modernize the entire home, while creating a cottage style home that is both warm, bright and cozy.

  • Renovating Exterior- included reviewing original and new design plans. Also, studying the exterior elevation of the home to make the exterior more modern by:
  • Replacing Grecian columns with a contemporary geometric front entry and a 5’ W x 8’H Pivot (See through front to back) front door. When standing at this impressive front door, one can get a view straight through to the water. Remove all brick that was detached from the framing and replace with stucco. Replaced all the existing windows/ sliders with architectural statement windows, removed arches and brick planting boxes to create a softer cottage appeal.
  • Replacing entire existing pool and spa with new pool and spa. Squaring off back columns and providing new pool cage with panoramic views. Built gracious steppingstone walkway that leads to boat dock.
  • Renovating Interior- included reviewing the original and new architectural, structural, and interior design plans, to execute the customers’ cottage style vision including:
  • Converted original family room into large dining area for large family gatherings. Removed one window for TV placement as well as place for wet bar. Added another window to back of home to enjoy expansive views of the water.
  • In master bathroom, replaced sunken tub and eliminated separate shower to create a combo-tub/shower wet room allowing the original shower to be converted into an extra-large his and hers closet.
  • New kitchen was created by removing adjoining wall between living room and kitchen to open up space and expand kitchen giving clients two large islands and extensive wrap around cabinet storage. This created a challenge for builder as he had to recreate the ceiling heights without impeding or replacing any roof trusses. This created an architecturally pleasing ceiling detail that also now encases recessed lighting.
