AdditionsREMODELING
Builder/Remodeler
The homeowners contacted the builder and challenged them to create a two-story addition that would become an entertaining paradise for both guests as well as their immediate family, while simultaneously creating an addition that would flow seamlessly from the existing home.
• As this home is on a septic field and would require every bit of the 3,899 additional square feet for all the homeowners’ entertaining wants and needs, the builder would find it challenging to rebuild and relocate the septic field to the front of the house without infringing on easements, as well as resolve some water issues that were present on the rear and sides of the lot.
• Sourced exterior materials to match existing home including roof tiles, windows and doors, stucco and trim detail.
• Purchased, shipped and installed 200-year-old solid antique wooden doors as entry to theater room.
• Created a theater room that would also contain a golf simulator with fiber-optic starry night ceiling. Included enough space for ten large reclining leather theater chairs for family-friendly movie nights.
• Constructed an extended family room from existing home to include expansive dining area as well as comfortable sitting area for relaxing by the massive custom stone fireplace. Installed 2000 square feet of rare white oak Tongue and Groove ceilings throughout the family and dining areas.
• Created rainy day game room area to include card and game tables as well as cozy reading niche.
• Expanded the pool deck to connect directly to new addition and included firepit and multiple sitting areas for entertaining during large family gatherings.
