Private Residence

From the moment that you step off the elevator into this Naples Penthouse, you can feel the inspiration is a true homage to Florida’s land and sea. Every element and detail of this private 9,326 sq. ft. residence has been inspired by the movement of the ever flowing Gulf of Mexico. Our clients’ lifestyle blends ultimate sophistication and custom workmanship with a comfortable, functioning space for their close knit family. Being in this gorgeous space, you are constantly reminded that the idyllic panoramic view of the precious ecosystem 11 floors below deserved to be interpreted into a space like never before.
Standing in the entry, your view of the main living areas are seamed together with the custom, iconic ceiling details of this designer. The shapes of each cove ceiling detail are inspired by a slow moving current and designed to guide you through the space. The perimeter of the room is framed by wave-shaped coffers that house LED lighting for the conversation areas, while the down lights in the palm frond shaped wooden beams above the cocktail area provide illumination for every seating arrangement.
Elements in the foyer that continue throughout are textured wallpapers and ribbed hand-blown glass insets that set the tone for movement everywhere in the home. Included in the hugely impactful lighting design are clear and textured crystal chandeliers adorning the main living areas. In the master bedroom, custom LED star lights shine down from above, allowing the client to truly sleep under the stars each night.
Between the foyer and the living room stands the unavoidable structural beam prominent in nearly all multi-family home residences, a challenging architectural element for any designer. Challenge accepted, this beam was clad with a custom oceanic scene by resin artist Alex Turco and backlit for a dramatic, yet soothing, area of the home affectionately called “the aquarium” by the owners. Enjoying cocktails by its warm glow is a new favorite tradition for this family.
Our clients’ strong desire for family gatherings is apparent in the furniture design, from the custom wide oak dining table lifted to the unit by crane to the vast seating areas throughout the kitchen and wet bar which are all designed to facilitate taking in the sunset views each evening. The counter surfaces throughout are backlit natural quartzite, including his and her sides of the wet bar. His side functions as a custom humidor for his vast cigar collection while her’s is the perfect place to store her favorite white wines from all over the world.
A recycled glass counter top in the tropical oasis wallpapered powder bath lies below a textured wave-like back lit glass panel and decorative mirror suspended from the ceiling.
When the family is not together, his and her studies are comfortable retreats for focusing on work. His exemplifies the family’s love of and respect for nature, showcasing zebra wood custom cabinetry, crocodile embossed leather inset doors and a stunning display of exotic African animals reminiscent of family travels.
