From the moment you enter the master suite of this 7,768 square foot new construction home, it is obvious the client has a bold and expressive take on modern luxury, concepts that we carefully curated for him. Our recently widowed client wanted a space that reflected his style and uplifted his spirits. We kept the palette playful yet strong, balancing soft off whites with deep, rich colors and unexpected artwork, ceiling details and textures.

The master bedroom headboard wall is lined in white capiz shell wallpaper with a subtle shine and organic texture, perfect for balancing this masculine leaning palette. Our low custom bed upholstered in a heavy boucle makes room for the focal point, a deep red and pink tonal crashing wave artwork. This original piece is made from silicon, resin acrylic and oil paints on a wood canvas accented by a white floater frame. The artwork picks up the ample natural light coming from the large pocket slider doors leading to the outdoor seating area that overlooks the pool and golf course comprising the client’s back yard. Crisp white bedding mixed with navy cut velvet ties in the tall printed drapery panels designed to provide privacy at night. A peek of a sunburst ceiling detail designed by our team centers the room. Polished chrome table lamps, nightstand stretchers and drapery hardware bring a cool metal edge to the vibe.

A short walk down the hallway, a custom feature wall delineates the gorgeous curved soaking tub from the shower area and makes a dramatic impact in the master bathroom. Navy blue dye injected into book matched Cristallo quartzite slabs sets the stage for the modern spa-inspired space. Behind the wall, the spacious shower is clad in marble and adorned with polished chrome plumbing fixtures. A diamond shaped ceiling detail houses the curly ribbons of the whimsical chandelier, suspended over a navy stone inset in the center of the floor. The Cristallo is repeated on the dual his and her vanities, with micro-mosaic shell mirror surrounds and chrome decorative lighting and hardware for added glitz. Down to the commode room with walls adorned in an unexpected navy geometric wallpaper as shown in the virtual tour, no corner of this bath was overlooked.

There is no doubt that our dramatically playful concept embodies our client’s love for color and glam. It was our delight to partner with this homeowner whose boldness and appreciation for dramatic design fueled our vision for this revitalizing retreat.
