This custom four-bedroom, seven-bathroom contemporary home transports any visitor from the bustling streets of Naples, Florida, to a tropical oasis sprawling on nine- acres of beautiful vegetation. The client and design team collaborated to design a family compound that would provide views of the luxury pool and outdoor living areas from all indoor spaces. This view was specifically provided in the kitchen.

The home has an enormous amount of natural light with expansive glass panels along the front elevation and mirroring glass panels along the rear elevation. Guests enter the home from an all-glass, pivoting entry door and walk into an open-style great room and dining area with cathedral ceilings with wood beams and panoramic natural light. Custom wood panels adorn the floor throughout the home.

When you enter the home and walk into the great room, you are blown away by the kitchen and its design elements. The kitchen boasts metal framed wood cabinetry and a stainless-steel range hood with bronze embellishment – a tribute to the “marriage of materials” inspiration seen throughout the home in the diversity of material, color, and texture combinations. The client handpicked Sub-Zero Wolf appliances for the ultimate cooking collection.

The large island with a seating area was designed with storage in mind but also utilized as a display behind glass doors. The island brings in the client’s eclectic style with a butcher block section continuing off the beautiful granite slab. To the right of the island is a sink and dishwasher with a view to the front of the home. Above the island are beautiful bronze light fixtures highlighting the hood’s bronze embellishments.

To the left of the kitchen area is a quaint breakfast nook that includes a coffee bar, and wine fridge with direct views of the covered outdoor living space and pool. When not using the space, the coffee maker, toaster, espresso machine and glassware are all hidden behind the custom cabinetry with doors that pocket along the cabinet. The clients use this space for breakfast, lunch, and when not entertaining, for dinner.

The butler’s pantry, also referred to as the “dirty kitchen” by the client, was a key component of the kitchen’s design for a seamless entertaining experience and is conveniently located directly behind the kitchen. The rich navy cabinets, grey backsplash and gold/brass hardware create an elegant space but gives the clients an area where prep work can be done, and dirty dishes can be set while entertaining in the main living areas.

Despite the immense challenges of COVID-19, including labor and material obstacles, the construction team completed the project on a tight timeframe and provided the client with the home of their dreams! They especially love the home’s kitchen with all the cooking and design elements one can dream of!
