Private Residence
The new owners of this condo knew that they needed an Interior Designer to re-imagine the space and add specialty design elements. Gaining an understanding of the client’s lifestyle and design preferences, while walking through the space together provided the starting point for this project. The desired inspiration was “Transitional- Family” style, with comfort, good use of space and performance fabrics.
Foyer:
Nickel-gap T&G is the backdrop for an under-lit John Richards Console, in driftwood & silver finish. The designer selected the original art by a local artist, which features the palette of the residence. A glass artisan made the seafoam inspired piece.
Chandelier with White Swirled Glass is a show- stopper!
Great Room:
This project began with designing the ceilings for the Great Room & Chat Area (beyond it). Stained, back-lit floating-beams and a polished nickel Chandelier, compliment the Chat Areas white beams with stained T&G.
The Entertainment Wall is “framed” in flat-stock and has under-lit Floating Shelves, finished to match the Bernhardt TV-Console. Accessories were specifically selected to accent the colors and finishes.
The Sectional and two Lounge Chairs by Vanguard Furniture are upholstered in Crypton fabric (Grandchildren “friendly”), with pillows that compliment the beautiful abstract art.
Wet Bar:
The original red-tone cabinets were painted, floating shelves and a Lunada Bay tile backsplash were added.
Kitchen:
Cabinets were painted & fauxed, and new island counters were installed. Pendant lights in polished nickel are the jewelry.
Dining Room/ Chat Area:
Visual Comfort Chandelier in Polished Nickel illuminates the Dining Table. Silver-patina wallcovering is behind the Vanguard custom cabinet in Wrenn finish. Sheer-woven drapery adds softness to the space.
Comfortable Taylor King Swivel Chairs and Vanguard cocktail-ottoman is the clients favorite place to sit and enjoy the view, while sipping a glass of wine.
Master Bedroom Suite:
Specially designed custom upholstered Headboard Wall is back-lit. Chandelier with Marble-glass is by Savoy House. Grey-blue shams compliment the gossamer-like drapery.
The custom Nightstands and Dresser ae in a Combination Finish. Swivel Chairs and Ottoman provide an ideal spot for morning coffee.
The Bathroom chandelier and sconces are by Crystorama and accent the newly painted cabinets and specialty mirror-detail.
Office Retreat:
The office-retreat is a reimagined closet, created by the Designer to provide the homeowner with her own special space. Built-in Desk, “display-cubbies”, and wallcovering were added.
Powder Bath:
Porcelanosa tiled wall, and Hudson Valley Pendants with Smoke Clear Glass.
Guest Bedroom #2:
An inviting bedroom for Guests and Grandchildren, with two Queen-size beds upholstered in sky-blue fabric. Cheery floral pattern shams, woven end-of-bed throws and blue accessories coordinate perfectly with the framed art above each bed. Soft-blue gossamer drapes and a Silver-Leaf Pendant add the finishing details.
Guest Bedroom #4:
It’s all about color, starting with the Benjamin Moore Nimbus-Gray headboard-wall. The woven bed with Scalamandre fabrics, and perfect mirrored-guest tray create a welcome vibe for guests. Modern Forms Metropolis Drum Shade
Outdoor Living:
A luxe sectional for watching sunsets and entertaining, a concrete cocktail table & specialty accessories for color.
