REMODELINGWhole House Remodel
Builder/Remodeler
The investor who purchased this dated penthouse had intentions of flipping the unit, embarking on a significant 12,000 square foot remodel. However, this undertaking was anything but simple, as we faced numerous challenges throughout the process.
– The impact of Hurricane Ian resulted in the loss of a considerable amount of materials that we had stored in the Regent’s garage.
– The aftermath of Hurricane Ian also led to the shutdown of elevator mechanics for months, impeding our ability to transport materials and equipment efficiently. Stalling the progression of our construction until the following summer, 2023.
– The unique architectural design of the building posed a challenge, with numerous curvy walls and rooms requiring thoughtful planning and design solutions.
– During the demolition phase, we had only one service elevator available for use. This necessitated meticulous deconstruction of every item removed from the unit to ensure it could fit into the limited space of the service elevator.
– The investor wanted to keep the recently updated $1 million kitchen. As a result, the remodeled spaces surrounding the kitchen needed to seamlessly integrate with its dark cabinetry aesthetic.
– One of the redesigned features for the master shower put it on an exterior window. To address potential privacy concerns, we found a way to frost the glass with a push of a button, ensuring future residents could enjoy nighttime showers without worrying about visibility from below.
Despite these challenges, we successfully delivered a stunning final product for the investor. He was very pleased with the outcome and immediately listed his penthouse for sale.
