This 3638-square-foot under air (4721 total), three bedroom (plus den and office), four-and-a-half bathroom transitional home was designed to take advantage of as much space as it could on this fairly tight Naples lot. And yet, this Falcon Design penned home impresses before you even step a foot inside. Artificial turf is inset into the tumbled paver U-shaped driveway giving a symmetrical welcome as you arrive at the four-columned front elevation. The 10-foot mahogany and glass double entry doors deliver you into a welcoming and open foyer offering views through the great room and into the outdoor living area and pool beyond. We’re especially pleased with the very modern floating staircase featuring three-inch solid European white oak treads atop a steel stringer, all encased in a glass railing. The clients were very intentional about the modern elements and design cues. And when it came to materials, the clients were very into glass speciality tiles. In the powder bath, we built a sleek floating vanity with a mitered edge featuring stacked simulated stone on both sides of the mirror that is backlit. Meanwhile, the first floor primary suite opens onto the pool area and features a custom vaulted ceiling detail over European white oak from Legno Bastone, which runs through all common areas. The en suite features Cristallo quartzite counters on the dual vanities and a large-scale porcelain tile on the floors. The large kitchen has a bit more of a contemporary feel, with Miele ovens, Sub-Zero refrigeration and freezers, and a Wolf induction cooktop. We also did one of our specialty hidden pantry doors that blends perfectly into the cabinetry. Counter, backsplash and island surfaces are Taj Mahal quartzite. The island has seating for four and features three large chandeliers overhead. The adjoining great room features a boxed beam coffered ceiling that is backlit with LED lighting and is differentiated from the foyer by columns. The expansive space opens directly onto the outdoor living area which features a generous dining area with linear fireplace and TV on a tiled wall under a tongue-and-groove dark-stained cypress ceiling. There’s also a a kitchen and a surprisingly large pool and pool deck area. The pool has an inset spa and includes two fire bowls that are also water features. It also utilizes more glass tile at the waterline as well as surrounding the fire/water features. Both of the clients work from home and so we created two separate offices for them. Hers, which sits directly off the foyer, has sliding interior glass doors with a transom. His office sits upstairs and has access to a sun deck overlooking the pool.
