When you’re building a very modern home, you expect the kitchen to follow suit. And in this stunning 6836-square-foot (4909 under air), three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath home, a shining part of what makes this home so special is its sleek kitchen. Clean lines and clean surfaces make this space unique. Dark mahogany Poliform solid wood cabinetry, where we aligned all of the grain patterns, goes right up to the 12-foot ceilings, hiding virtually all of the Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances (except the wine fridge). The island seats five and features a waterfall edge and is covered in a Cristallo quartzite (with a matching dark Poliform interior underneath), as are all kitchen surfaces, including the hidden pantry and adjoining laundry room accessed behind the kitchen. The clean lines continue to the dining area, which features a large long lighting fixture that required precise mounting points along the entire length of the light, hanging from an inverted drop ceiling, which is repeated in the adjoining living room. The drop ceiling allows for curtain rails to be hidden into the upper area, adding to the clean lines. We also created a flush baseboard throughout the home that includes a reglet design. A low linear window behind the double-faucet sink adds light to the area, while white Poliform upper cabinetry adds more linear visual impact and adds a great deal of storage options.
