Bennett Interiors – Pelican Bay Organic Breeze

The Pelican Bay remodel was a transformative experience that breathed new life into the antiquated characteristics of this lovely home. The original Spanish-style decor remained untouched, for over thirty years. Beyond the dark weighted beams and dated architecture, our vision saw hidden possibilities waiting to be revealed. By playing with light and shadows a diamond in the rough poised to shine.

Our inspiration introduced clean-line furnishings, ethereal, airy tones, unrefined-raw and delicate linens with organic accents encouraging a comfortable and calm yet upscale living space. We renovated the kitchen and baths adding bespoke white-oak entertainment built-ins with integrated sound systems. We also delicately faux-painted the entry wall, while selectively adding nickel-gap throughout the home, creating a sense of sleek refinement. The refaced fireplace made a “standout” statement, donning white concrete, porcelain tiles, and natural wood enhanced the textured layered look. We customized the nearby wet bar delivering another captivating character.

To further emphasis the kitchen, we added a variety of visual interest, including an oversized island with distressed blonde wood flat-panel doors. The cement-like Silestone countertop tethered a connection with the sultry gray floors. The expansive island optimized additional storage and seating, making it the perfect spot for casual dining and entertaining. Pairing minimalistic linear pendants over the island uplifted the space, as did the opulent upper seeded-glass cabinets, stainless steel sconces perched below the open shelf, elevating the eye and ambient atmosphere. . The quartz countertop seamlessly carried to the apex of the backsplash generating a oneness with the custom-painted white cabinets, allowing the gleam of natural sunlight to sweep along the clean-edges of the newly modernized kitchen.

In the spacious master bath, our focus was on creating tranquility, sustainability, and simple indulgence. The his-and-her walk-in shower was crowned by a natural stone soaking tub commanding centerstage; its elegant curvature was a perfect complement to the horizontal porcelain tile with wood-like characteristics that adorned the surrounding walls, bringing a touch of the natural world into this fresh and private space. Large-scale rain showers completed the sensory experience, while the interplay of elemental materials, from the modern floating cabinet and mitered-edge countertop to the brushed pewter Jaclo fixtures, created a spa-scape to soothe the senses culminating an inner peacefulness.

Despite the delayed supply chains posed by COVID, and then interruptions by Hurricane Ian; we transcended adversity with the eye of the tiger and grace. Our team’s dedication and skills enabled to deliver “final reveal” within eight months without compromising on perfection. We completed the project including final touches, with a breathtaking, must have floor lamp, worthy of mentioning. The results are not only aesthetically pleasing but soulfully embodied a harmonious blend of nature and beauty.
