The interior /exterior air conditioned lanai ;( aka… the gathering room) , is unique for its functionality as well as livability. The space integrates with the interior of the home seamlessly and flows with a relaxed elegance while the exterior portion of the outdoor lanai and pool area is within a push of a button. The outdoor kitchen is located at the far end of the space showcasing the impressive large format book match porcelain tile concealing the vented hood components. The owners wanted to feel as the space belonged outside so the integration of a traditional Barbecue grill was added. The grill posed some retrains due to the unusual setup so commercial ventilation was needed and introduced in order for the grill to remain in the space.
The space also boosts an indoor fireplace located in the living room flanked by two 12′ sliding doors with views of the pool and surrounding landscape. Along the back side of the enclosed lanai you’ll find a secondary fireplace located in an intimate area of the outside patio. The stand alone 8′ long custom linear fireplaces is elegantly surrounded by lush landscape and 6 swivel rockers to sit and relax wit family and friends. The pool’s proximity is perfect to enjoy the sound of the cascading water of the pools fountain feature. The sliding doors also have integrated Hurricane screens for added protection and security as well as integrated sun shades to provide shade inside the living area.
Once the sliders are open… the space comes to life when the interior and exterior mingle together in a cohesive and welcoming space. The outdoor furniture in the exterior portion along the pool area are rich with texture and colors of cream and navy which echo the color scheme in the inside air conditioned potion of the lanai.
