Private Residence
A Tuscan to transitional transformation made this home, built in 2006, elegant and modern. A neutral color palette and mixed metals imparts a sophisticated vibe to the now open floor plan after removing the foyer entry columns. Traditional travertine tile was changed to a medium toned, oak wood floor, warming up the entire home.
The once Music Room was reconfigured and reduced in size converting the large space into two rooms, a Study and a stunning Powder Room.
• Custom designed Study built in and desk with metal accents.
• Grasscloth lines the wall and wraps the cornice.
• Herringbone floor design.
In the Living Room, a traditional, oversized fireplace was replaced with a sleek, linear fireplace surrounded by a dramatic Quartzite backlit stone slab. Large scale artwork and streamlined furnishings look neat and inviting.
A beautiful custom Kitchen allows for easy entertaining.
• Rift white oak cabinetry is stained to contrast with the soft white cabinets on the adjacent wall.
• Metal accents were incorporated into the hood and island legs.
• Built in appliance garage hides all small appliances.
• A large door in the corner is a surprise walk in pantry.
• Coordinating beverage bar with a reeded cabinet design.
In the Bedroom, double doors to the covered lanai were moved from across the bed to the end of the room for better access to the pool and spa.
• The added slat wall behind the bed was made more contemporary with paint.
• Cool pendant lights replace traditional nightstand lamps.
• The large Bathroom features dimensional wall tile mixed with large scale porcelain tiles.
• Two closets were combined into one with custom built-ins.
The relaxing Game Room has a large television for easy viewing from anywhere in the space. Behind the television is patterned wallcovering. A stone drink shelf features a unique embroidered grasscloth in multiple starburst patterns. A custom pool table and a walk-in wine room with an acrylic racking system makes the bottles appear to be floating.
An expansive outdoor living area has cool, modern and functional furniture. The undercover lanai fireplace was made more interesting with an asymmetrical design and dramatic black porcelain large format tile. Cypress ceilings were painted warm black to coordinate with the design of the features and furniture.
