Design Process
1. Initial Design: We began by presenting to the homeowner a design using CAD drawings and colored renderings, emphasizing consistent symmetry and geometrical balance.
2. Client Feedback: Based on the client’s feedback, the design was refined, and a revised set of CAD drawings and renderings were submitted for approval.
Materials and Fabrication
• Materials: High-grade hardware and European oak were selected for their superior quality.
• Fabrication: The fabrication process commenced in our Naples wood shop, involving three master carpenters working full-time on the project. The milling was extremely precise and the multi-step sanding resulted in “smooth-as-glass” wood parts.
• Lighting: The 3 dimensional design was engineered to meticulously hide the high quality LED lighting system within the multiple recessed cavities of the featured wall.
Staining and Matching
The wood staining process included multiple sample options for the owner’s approval to ensure a perfect match with the existing kitchen cabinets.
Client Satisfaction
This project was particularly challenging as the homeowner, Mr. Mink, is a former luxury builder from up North who is very knowledgeable and detail oriented. He inspected every step of the process to make sure it met his high standards. After the completion of the project, we were very pleased when he expressed his satisfaction with the finished product, when he posted a Google review starting the following: “Looks amazing! Far exceeded our expectations.”
