The oversized clubroom in this custom showcase estate is envisioned as a multifunctioning space – an elegant study as a home office and an inviting lounge positioned in a wall of windows with a French door leading outside to the pool and spa deck. It provides an elegant retreat for the master suite as well as a destination for entertaining guests and watching TV. Located off a sun-filled gallery, double glass doors open into the room, where polished porcelain tile floor transitions to walnut hardwood. The room’s contemporary design features a curving gray leather embossed shagreen-finished desk with burnished brass accents, custom furniture-look filing drawers and a masterful mélange of textural finishes ranging from eucalyptus and graphite with gold-leaf, menswear-inspired upholstery and weathered gray.

A combination of black, bronze and gold creates visual impact while the gray tweed upholstery of the sofa and soft beige of an upholstered armchair counterbalances with softness. Greek key-patterned pillows echo the linear references in artwork above the sofa. The sitting area is oriented to a dramatic statement-making media console featuring black forest marble, textured graphite and cerused griege. Texture also factors into the area rug and weathered gray end tables while the bronze finish of a tempered glass cocktail table echoes a unifying finish throughout the estate.

The room features contemporary artwork and sculpture and lighted shelves built into niches on each side of the door.
