This was a unique outdoor living space to design as it was a corner lot home and the covered outdoor living was long and narrow, making the furniture layout unique to many of the homes that we traditionally design. There was also very little pool deck space , so we suggested adding a pergola on the pool deck pad at the back of the property, to add visual interest and some shade. We added string lights to it that create a beautiful ambiance in the evening. We also added unique swing chair in this space that fit the modern aesthetic as well as provide a fun and cozy place to relax with a book or a glass of wine with a friend. The pool deck and copping is a leathered nuvola gray marble that is accented with and iridescent 1 x 2 glass waterline tile and darker pool bottom, really creating a sexy modern pool area. Our goal was for you to walk outside and feel like you are at a modern tropical resort. In the covered area, we took a traditional cypress ceiling and elevated it to a more modern feel by staining the T&G black and doing the beams in a natural white oak. The fireplace is a mix of an oxidized porcelain on the top and leathered black granite. Instead of using a traditional log set, we went with gray fireballs to keep an elevated modern look. We choose to do a slightly different ;layout for the furniture and did a very comfortable sectional in an area that looks out to the pool and did 4 occasial chairs with a large table in between at the TV area. The round dining table helped break up all of the linear lines of the space.
