Marketing Director of the YearSALES
Developer/Community

Michelle Mambuca has contributed tremendously to the success of Barron Collier Companies and their biggest development, Ave Maria, a master-planned community in eastern Collier County. With her leadership, new home sales have increased 11% year over year and the community was placed as the #16 fastest-selling community in the US.

In addition to receiving earned media placements locally, in the Sun Sentinel and the NY Times, she has brought several new tactics to the team, including new advertising opportunities, event sponsorships, and online branded content that she produces through Naples Daily news and Hearst. She has improved community signage throughout the town of Ave Maria, from design to installation. She has also participated in video content as requested from outside organizations and always represents the community with integrity and honestly.

One recent example of a new tactic Mambuca implemented is a marketing plan to target realtors in Ave Maria’s target areas, which was a grassroots campaign focusing on building relationships with the goal to bring realtors to town, and ultimately sell homes. The tactics were to attend realtor events in Naples, Broward and Dade County to educate them about Ave Maria, the lifestyle, price point and commissions as well as schedule bus tours to bring realtors to the community. This has proven a success based off of new home sales by realtors and special incentives the builders now offer realtors.

Mambuca enjoys professional development opportunities. She has been an active member of the Gulf Coast Chapter Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for over ten years and has held different board positions, most recently president-elect for the chapter. She helps plan and market numerous events throughout the year. She earned her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) which certifies her drive, professionalism, and principles, setting her apart from her peers and positions her as a leader and mentor in the industry. With that, she attends many conferences and webinars to continue to learn and enjoys mentoring others in the process.

Mambuca strives to find new, rewarding opportunities, including volunteer and service roles. She is involved at Barron Collier Companies as the Professional Development Committee chair, organizing opportunities for employees to learn and grow. She is on the board for Wellfit Girls, a local non-profit empowering teen girls through leadership experiences. She volunteered as a Team Mom in her daughters cheerleading organization and also volunteered to help chair her neighborhood social committee.

Michelle graduated Cum Laude from Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) with a bachelor’s degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. She held leadership positions in her sorority and was a member of Order of Omega, recognizing the top 3% of Greeks.
