Our clients envisioned a home that seamlessly blended indoor and outdoor living, creating a space that offered both comfort and luxury. They wanted to enclose a portion of their lanai to extend their living area under air, providing more interior space for their growing needs. Additionally, they dreamed of a stunning new pool with a swim-up bar, an attached outdoor kitchen, and a grotto.
One of the most significant obstacles we faced was the low ceiling of the lanai covered area. To extend the living space, we had to raise the ceiling height, which required the installation of twelve temporary support beams for three weeks. This crucial step ensured that the ceiling remained stable during the renovation process, safeguarding both the structure and the safety of our team and clients.
Additionally, the original ceiling was supported by a concrete block column, which needed to be replaced with a new I-beam for enhanced structural integrity. Our team meticulously planned and executed this complex task, ensuring that the new support system was seamlessly integrated into the existing structure without compromising the aesthetic appeal of the space.
Understanding the importance of comfort and convenience for our clients, who remained in residence throughout the construction, we implemented measures to minimize disruption to their daily lives. We installed plastic dividing walls with zippers, allowing the family to access their kitchen while keeping the construction area contained. This innovative solution not only ensured the safety and cleanliness of the living space but also provided the family with uninterrupted access to essential areas of their home.
Building the outdoor kitchen posed additional challenges due to the electrical constraints of its location directly adjacent to the pool and waterfall. Our team navigated these complexities with precision, ensuring the highest safety standards while maintaining the aesthetic integrity of the design. The client’s personal touch in providing their own hardware for the cypress beam connections in the outdoor kitchen and spa area adds a unique and standout design element to the project.
The result of our meticulous planning, innovative solutions, and expert craftsmanship is a home that truly embodies luxury and comfort. The newly extended living area seamlessly integrates with the existing interior, providing a spacious and inviting environment for family gatherings and relaxation.
