Challenge- removing walls, raising ceilings while rerouting mechanicals. Each room carefully planned to give maximum ceiling height focusing on open floorplan living.
Once boxed in kitchen feels fresh & spacious, white cabinets- simple edge profile, jewel-like hardware. Oversized peninsula and backsplash adorned in Cristallo quartzite. Bronze counter stools offer comfort & style.
Dining is now part of the kitchen, once a separate room. Furniture-like freestanding dining buffet in taupe providing generous storage. Shiplap detail wall detail, adding a coastal touch. Nautical gold sconces highlight Pelican artwork. Petite rope dining chairs, hourglass table allows leg room topped with organic drum shade.
Natural hemp living room rug- starting point for the room. Juxtaposing the rug texture our linen sofa, standing on metal legs was carefully chosen; sports thin arms and back, offering maximum seating. Pop of coral adds whimsy. Stunning floating entertainment, adding visual space.
Living room wall- horizontal applied molding expands the wall. Criss crossed ceiling beams add architectural interest and lighting.
Chat area functions as indoor/outdoor space, porcelain tile in herringbone compliments oak floors throughout. Shiplap ceiling for coastal appeal. Irregular hide rug perfectly suits hexagon room. Teak chairs strung with rope and petrified stump are truly unique.
Master Suite- this focal caned bed paired with sisal and wool area rug adding texture. Ample storage provided with driftwood nightstand and dresser. Bed dressed in oatmeal linen and embroidery complete look. Headboard wall highlighted with Faux bois wallcovering, jewel-like gold and glass lamps enhance.
Master Bath- This tiny bath meets all the client’s storage needs, vanity drawers for easy access. Porcelain slab as countertop, shower bench & cascading down shower wall. White marble pickets clad vanity wall- another layer of luxury. W/C door feels like a window offering privacy. Once cave-like shower is now a tranquil retreat.
Guest Room- wicker beds welcome, shiplap headboard creates a backdrop for nautical bedding. Linen wrapped nightstand, beaded lamp and rug add texture.
Guest bath- fish scale marble shower, shiplap walls adorn.
This petite jewel has been completely transformed to an open, airy retreat. Client’s dream- Create a unique home with natural organic beauty.
